Alaska's Kenai River Salmon fishing

If you have always dreamed of fishing for Alaska's famous King or silver salmon or their enormous and colorful rainbow trout it is time to begin planning the trip. I have been very fortunate in that since moving away from Alaska 22 years ago I have been able to go back in some cases numerous times every year and I try to take a trip with Dan on most every visit.

If Silver salmon (silvers slow on river in early July), ling cod or halibut are on your must do list arrangements can be made to include a great day trip on the ocean either out of Seward or Homer, Alaska. Reserve early as repeat customers are many and most are made a year in advance.

Soldotna, Alaska is located on the Kenai Peninsula a few hour drive through some of the most beautiful country in the world. Beautifully appointed cabins with showers await you or local hotel accommodations can be made if you prefer to be closer to town.

One of the expected animals to be seen on a day of fishing, a beautiful Bald Eagle. It is also quite possible to see moose and if lucky the occasional bear.

 

A great shore lunch on the banks of the Kenai with friends just can't be beat on a beautiful Alaska day.
